PHYSIOTHERAPY FOR DANCERS & GYMNASTS
In dance and gymnastics, creating controlled, smooth movement with poise and effortlessness involves a complex conversation between muscle groups, and the brain.

As physios, we look at these movement patterns, how muscles are used and identify specific but hidden weakness in the body which cause injuries to re-occur. We understand that a dancers body are very different from most people, where a dancer may feel abnormally tight, weak or painful in a certain position or range that others cannot imagine achieving.
It is important to acknowledge or ask 'what is normal for you' then seek out the roots of the dysfunction.

WHAT TREATMENT SUPPORT CAN WE OFFER?

Our dance physios have skilled assessment & treatment techniques to understand why an injury has occurred and develop exercises programmes targeted at restoring those movement patterns. We also have soft tissue treatments, manual therapy and other techniques available to focus on specific areas of injury. We can help get you back on stage or prevent you from having to take-time out in the first place.
